Automation in the Hybrid Workplace

What is IT doing to Building Back Better for those we serve? Build Back Better means being able to securely deliver services through any app, on any device, running anywhere without being locked in to any one cloud delivery model. This session will focus on ways we can breathe life into old workloads and make them more portable without refactoring, as well as delivering best of breed application automation for new workloads. Today's required levels of security, portability and scalability could not be achieved without end-to-end automation of both application and underlying infrastructure.  In this education. we will learn about the latest in infrastructure deliver as well as application automation.

Gary has been assisting customers with creating more efficient datacenter operations for the last 25 years.  With the increasing demand for cloud services, his solutions have broken out of the confines of the brick and mortar datacenter to true hybrid cloud environments.  Gary has been a Nutanix Senior Engineer for three years.  Prior to Nutanix, Gary worked at HPE as a Solutions Architect for 17 years.  Gary resides on Long Island with his wife and two of three kids.  The third recently married.  One down, two to go.

Jason Rotella focuses on automating and modernizing customer hybrid-cloud IT and development environments for public sector customers, including New York State, as a Senior Solutions Architect for Red Hat. Jason has experience from infrastructure administration through to cloud native application and service architectures. Before joining Red Hat in 2019, Jason was a Senior Staff Software Architect at GE Digital, where he architected commercial products as well as internal shared IT services. He also has experience with embedded, edge and IoT architectures and applications, as well as semiconductor chip development. Jason resides in Ballston Spa, NY with his wife and two of their three children, with the third residing in New Mexico.
