Streamlining HR business operations through Lean Process improvements

Major objectives of Lean process improvements include minimizing time spent on manual tasks, reducing effort or resources by identifying each step in a business process, then revising or cutting out steps that are highly manual and do not add value.  Some of these processes have not only put an undue administrative burden on HR employees working in hybrid environments, but also do not contribute to a streamlined experience for new hires or retirees. As part of this presentation Adobe will discuss how paper-based Human Resource approval processes can be streamlined through Lean Process improvements.

David Santiago leads the Public Sector vertical for Adobe’s Document Cloud. He has 18 years of experience in technology leadership roles supporting the public sector; 15 of which were spent in senior roles in the federal government. David came to Adobe from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) where he served as the Deputy Assistant Administrator for Grants Systems and Policy Integration, the Agency’s first senior executive responsible for providing all FEMA grant programs with consistent guidance, processes, and systems for grants management. In this capacity, David oversaw the implementation of the Grants Management Modernization Program, one of the Department of Homeland Security’s largest information technology acquisition programs, which streamlined and simplified FEMA’s grants management processes.David is passionate about the potential for digital technology to help the government better serve the public and its citizens.

As of February 10th Governor Hochul lifted indoor mask or vaccine requirements for businesses statewide.  Following the revised state policy, masks will be optional for NYS Forum events.  We will continue to arrange seating to observe 6 foot social distancing where possible.
