Senior Security Solutions Architect, Stratascale – An SHI Company

David will be providing an overview of an Industrial Control SCADA Discovery and Assessment program that detects weaknesses and vulnerabilities within critical manufacturing and utility infrastructures. This process allows technology owners the ability to develop strategies for making their operations and assets them more secure and resilient.

We will dive into the world of Industrial Control environments and share how these critical systems have become increasingly vulnerable to cyber-attack. Organizations are dealing with new cyber risks associated with digitally connected Industrial Control Systems and are seeking solutions to secure their IoT and unmanaged devices. We will discuss why securing industrial controls has become such a challenge today and recommend strategies for implementing a top-level security evaluation approach, which is the catalyst for building a strong security program for Operational Technology.

David Beidelman is a Sr. Security Solutions Architect with Stratascale, A division of SHI International Corp. He began his IT and Cybersecurity career as a software developer during the distributed computing era of the early 1980’s. Dave currently leads complex security projects for customers, focusing on solutions for Operational Technology, Email Security, Identity Management, Firewalls, and Application Security. 

As of February 10th Governor Hochul lifted indoor mask or vaccine requirements for businesses statewide.  Following the revised state policy, masks will be optional for NYS Forum events.  We will continue to arrange seating to observe 6 foot social distancing where possible.
