As a senior, broadly experienced executive within NYC’s public sector in all phases of Information Technology, Prashant Thakker is widely recognized for delivering mission-critical projects, both on time and in budget. Business-driven and technically savvy as a seasoned Information Technology executive, Prashant is well known for his proven leadership skills going back to 2004, when he first joined the City of New York. In fact, his technical fluency and proficiency has been underscored with a record of strong, responsive business acumen.

Throughout his career, Prashant’s strategic fiscal planning expertise has been customarily used to organize and implement large-scale information technology teams. To improve the returns on IT investments, he has introduced unique but effective teaming practices to achieve the optimal mix of internal and external IT resources. His success leveraging in-sourced (i.e., civil service) staff – coupled with vendors for IT analysis, development, and infrastructure teams – is well established. Prashant has a reputation as an effective communicator, from the boardroom to the operations center, with recognized special competencies in enterprise leadership, rapid custom application development, and infrastructure & operational efficiency.

Prashant holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Bombay and lives in New Jersey with his family.
