Darren Pulsipher, Chief Solution Architect for Public Sector - Intel

Digital transformation has been on everyone’s strategic bucket list. Intel sees the big strategic bets in digital transformation in the coming year as, Multi-Hybrid Cloud, Edge Computing, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Data Management, and Advanced Communications. Intel is deeply involved with all of them, as they have built the hardware and software to support each of the pillars. The pillars are interwoven, and Intel plays a key role in leading the industry forward.

In this session, Darren Pulsipher will be talking about how people, process, policy, and technology are being leveraged to help organizations move forward in modernizing their businesses in these critical areas of transformation.

• Multi-Hybrid Cloud – Modern application and service development must be supported by multi-hybrid cloud architecture.  
• Edge Computing – More capabilities are being pushed to edge devices enabling new use models and development techniques. 
• Cyber-Security – Cloud and Edge have increased the attack surface of an already vulnerable security position for many organizations. 
• Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics – Creating information insight from the vast amount of data generated on the edge is key to and organization’s viability in the future. 
• Data Management – The data is no longer bound to the walls of the data center causing data sprawl, duplication, increased cost, and data reliability issues. 
• Advanced Communications – New comms like 5G are opening new doors to types of solutions at the edge never thought possible before. 

Darren Pulsipher

Darren is the Chief Solution Architect for Public Sector at Intel.  He works directly with governments (Federal, State, and Local) and enterprise organizations such as IBM, GE, and Toyota to help them modernize their IT organizations. Through several executive and management positions (CIO, Director of Engineering), Darren has developed a unique ability to bring technology, people, and processes together to provide real transformational change to organizations. He focuses on data transformation through data architecture, workload migration, cloud-native application development, service orchestration, and multi-hybrid cloud data center architectures. His research has resulted in 8 patents in Cloud and Grid computing architectures, helping companies decrease product development lifecycle time through build, test, and deployment optimization, virtualization, and containerization.   Darren shares his passion for digital transformation on his weekly podcast "Embracing Digital Transformation." He is a published author with three books on technology and technology management and over 100 articles published in various industry trade publications.

As of February 10th Governor Hochul lifted indoor mask or vaccine requirements for businesses statewide.  Following the revised state policy, masks will be optional for NYS Forum events.  We will continue to arrange seating to observe 6 foot social distancing where possible.   For more info on the State’s policy, view the Governor’s Feb. 10th release here
