The NYS Forum Announces Fran Reiter as New Executive Director 

The NYS Forum, a membership organization for public and private-sector professionals dedicated to exploring how information technology can serve New York citizens, is pleased to announce Fran Reiter as its new Executive Director.

Reiter brings extensive leadership experience and industry knowledge to the position and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s operations starting April 10, 2023.

"We are so excited to have Fran leading the Forum into the future," said Jim Bell, Board Chair. "With her impressive background and track record of success, we are confident that she will help the Forum continue to grow and deliver for its membership."

With over four decades of leadership experience in the private, public & non-profit sectors, Reiter is uniquely qualified for the role. She has held senior management positions in the television industry, led two major NYC non-profits, and provided strategic advisement and lobbying services to many leading IT firms. In the public sector, Reiter served as NYC Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Planning and NYS Executive Deputy Director of State Operations during which she oversaw the ITS transformation.

Established in 1987, The NYS Forum has grown to represent thousands of members from hundreds of government and industry organizations. The Forum is widely recognized for its programs and events aimed at helping members grow their IT-related skills and knowledge, stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices, and collaborate and connect with their peers in the public and private sectors.
